Sniffle

Today I came home sick from work...something I NEVER do. I try my best to not ever call in or go home sick...I always feel guilty, even if it's legit. I think my allergic reactions to the world have given me a sinus infection/respiratory infection...I don't know, I'm not the doc...but unfortunately he cannot see me until tomorrow afternoon so until then I will sniffle and sneeze and scratch my puffy eyes, and feel like crap. Joy...it is crazy the little things you take for granted...like being able to go through the day without sneezing. I think I have a fever too...and a sore throat...ugh! I hate sickness.

So then to make things even better! I was driving over to Evan's to rest and wait for him to get home from work and Bentley is in my back seat, like she always is. I braked and she went flying, like she does often, since she is always standing up trying to look out the window...so I think nothing of it. So I'm driving and driving and I look back at her and the corner of her eye is bleeding...

So of course I only freaked out...I was so worried blood was going to get in her eye, the cut is right next to the inner part of her eye. So I am already feeling like absolute crap and now my puppy is bleeding and I am driving and of course I have no idea what to do...so the likely response...start crying...I was so worried about her. I was thinking, do I need to take her to the emergency vet? Do I need to go to Petsmart and get something to put on it? It is so close to her eye, I can't really do much.

So I finally get to Evan's, which of course I got every light on the way there, and I'm trying to blot her eye and make the blood clot and she is just as happy as can be. I'm sitting there freaking out and she thinks I'm trying to play with her. Thankfully, it stopped bleeding and I don't think anything got in her eye. I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow anyways so I can ask them if I need to do anything else.

I really hope I feel better tomorrow, I need to redeem myself this last part of the week so I seriously need to be on my A game!
