Retail Therapy

So I am in Oklahoma taking a little vaca from Dallas life. I was driving up last night and I have decided that listening to country music in my car is most definitely my guilty pleasure. lol, I admit it. I get to think a lot on the wonderful 3 hour drive. It gives me good time to reflect on things. I took a pic of the sky, it was just really peaceful...it somehow reminded me of the long drive to Lubbock back in the day.
It is a weird feeling to describe, like you are leaving something behind yet still looking forward to what is in store for you. That's how I describe the trips to Lubbock...bittersweet I guess. Hmm.

Well, my sister is preggo and when I got to her place she was putting some of Cortlynd's clothes up that she had just gotten. She showed me some of the shoes she has for her and I about died...too freaking cute for words.

The gladiator sandals are my absolute fave's! I have never seen something so small and so cute. I can't wait to see her in them! Cortlynd already has a ton of clothes and cute accessories. She is spoiled and she isn't even here yet.

When my sister and I get together, there are two things I can always count on. I will spend too much money and eat way too much junk food. Today we went shopping at TJ Maxx, $1 Jewelry Galore, Gordman's, this cutesy little boutique that has awesome car smell good stuff and I did a little online shopping at Target...but that was for a gift so that doesn't count. I also bought a bunch of new makeup from my sister, she sells Mary Kay, if anyone is interested let me know.
Ok, so just for the record, pretty much all my makeup is out so I can justify buying all of this. Plus, I really like Mary Kay and I have been super happy with everything I've used from them. One of my FAVE things I bought today was a fabulous coat! I got it at Gordman's for $10! Gordman's for all the Texas people is like a Marshall's/TJ Maxx. Compare at over $70...thank you very much lol. The sleeves are not full length so it will be perfect for Fall and even part of Winter in the strange weather world of Texas.
Here is a pic. I just think it is so cute and too good of a deal to pass up! I also got a super cute dressy, light-weight, black coat to wear to work since it is always freezing. I also got a tunic-style shirt and some black leggings. I think it will be a cute little casual-cute, comfy outfit. I think I will wear it tomorrow since I'll be driving back to Texas.

Now, my sister and I are watching movies, I have a few things to take care of as far as school and stuff. I will probably try to take care of that first thing in the morning. I did get my stats test score back and I got an 80! I will take it for sure! I have calculated that I need like an 85 or better on my final to get an A in the class. I plan on working my best to make that happen.

That is all for now! Have a fabulous Easter! Did you know that on Easter last year Evan 'officially' first called me his girlfriend... :-) Oh love.
