I never realized how hard it would be to get my MBA. I mean, the time you have to put into it, the material you have to learn, the stress that comes with it...I just never anticipated it would be this difficult. Frankly, it should be difficult...its a master's degree. I just assumed that it would be like getting my undergrad and I could go about it the exact same way. I took my first economics test and for the first time in my college career I am a little worried about the fact that I may need to drop the class. I don't even know how that works to be honest...it has never been an option for me. I haven't gotten my grade back yet, but I can only imagine what my score might be...12 questions, 10 points each, all short-answer, 2-hour time limit. I know for sure that I got some things wrong...it just depends on how he grades I guess. It just annoys that crap out of me that there are only two tests and they are weighted the exact same - 50%. At least have a paper or an assignment or something worth like 10%. I don't get bad grades, I don't drop classes, I don't quit...it just irritates me that I'm even thinking this decision may need to be made. If I didn't try and I half-assed it, then I would be more pissed, but honestly, I have tried to learn this material...it just doesn't click for me like other subjects do.
I'll tell you what...give me those classes where I have to write 3, 8 page papers...I'll take it over these math classes. I am hopefully getting them all done with in Summer I and Summer II. I already have one A locked in for this semester...I need like an 86 on my last Stats test to get an A in there and then hopefully I can succeed in this Eco class. Pray for me!
On a lighter note, I have already decided that next year when I graduate I am going to have a fabulous graduation party with lots of adult drinks. :-) If you are getting or planning to get your MBA, more power to you, but know...it is a bitch. I don't think there is a better way to describe it. lol.
My sister's first baby shower happened this past Sunday and it was absolutely gorgeous. My step-mom did a great job putting everything together and it all looked so gorgeous. Here are some pics!
My sister got so much stuff for Cortlynd. It was so great! It does make me wonder what my guests are going to buy now for the shower I'm throwing in OK on the 1st. lol. I got to wear my fabulous new multi-colored wedges that Evan got me (pictures in a previous post); I was very excited about that. :-)
Last week was so hectic! I'm glad it's over! My post is a little boring today, but I will spice it up another time. :-) I'm pretty excited for this week's Thursday night dinner. Last week I think I over-shared a little, but I def. made everyone laugh. It was a good time. Oh yah, then after dinner I drove the wrong way on the highway and got lost in downtown Dallas...yah...not fun. I parked in front of a little store to put an address in my iPhone GPS and a homeless guy was about to knock on my window, when I freaked out and about ran over him...hmm. I wish I wasn't so directionally challenged.
